Sometimes it helps to be reminded of the basic truths of the Gospel…

We have all sinned: For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23 (KJV)

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 (KJV)

Jesus is the only way: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 (KJV)

And He invites us to come to Him: Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 (KJV)

How are we saved? For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV)

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9 (KJV)

Which is His desire for every person. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)

He forgives us: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 (KJV)

He keeps us: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and my Father are one. John 10:28-30 (KJV)

He never leaves us: Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5 (KJV)

Heaven rejoices when we are saved! I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Luke 15:7 (KJV)
